i put them in my truck and i'll be honest with you, i like the 3 link set up much better. i noticed i lost quite a bit of suspension travel with the boomerang mounts. i know too much travel isn't a plus but too little travel isn't a plus either. seemed it only limited one side more then the other... one advantage is if you experience torque twist you can eliminate some of it by mounting one link up top and one link below the boomerang.

anyone else notice decreased suspension travel? I installed mine yest. and felt it actually increased travel, simply because the 3link would eventually hit the servo-plate at full droop. |

I run mine under, but the link from the initial post has the following tech tip: Tech Tip: Trucks with driveshafts have a negative effect created by the driveshaft called torque twist. You can help reduce this with these mounts by mounting the links as described here. In the back, install the driver's side upper link on top of the plate. The passenger side is mounted underneath. This asymmetrical set up should help alleviate torque twist. You should be able to run the stock scorpion springs without any pre-load on them. Put the travel limiters inside the shocks to lower the truck. Those changes should dial in your suspension and greatly improve your trucks performance. |
