Default Revo shocks with Jato springs

Is any body using this combination? And if so what jato springs are you using. Any help would be great. Thank you

The Jato springs will work on the Revo shocks. The spring rate all depends upon the vehicle. I ran 0.7, the lowest spring rate for external springs, Jato springs on Revo shocks in a BlackJack, but I had to add a pound an a half to get full compression under load. I would recommend starting with the 0.7 and work your way up.

Or try using internal springs. Youll gain about 1/8" more travel per shock if you do.

I would use the jato shocks they are way smoother. You can use heavy springs and oil and it will feel way more smooth and less springy than revo shocks. Ive been trying to get my revo shocks to feel like the jato's and still trying.

The only difference in Revo/Jato shocks are the pistons. The Jato's have bigger or more holes to increase linear dampening.

Revo Springs are also obviously way thicker and stiffer.

I run the Revo Shocks without springs...full droop...nice.

Thanks fella's thats what I needed to know. I was thinking the 0.7 rate springs would put at about where I want to be. What kind of wt. oil are you guys running. Thanks for the help.

Cool I knew something had to be diff. other than the bodies. I drilled new holes in my revos it helped but it just feels springy now. guess I just have to swap out the guts on the shocks

rn38 you just need the pistons...nothing major to change in a Revo/Jato shock.

Darren: I'm droop with Revo pistons (#1 Front, #2 Rear) and I got 25wt TL Front and 30wt TL rear. With Jato pistons I believe 30wt feels more like 30wt in a TMAXX big bore.

Well I got the 0,7 yellow jato springs, with 1.4 grey pistons in the front and 1.3 grey pistons in the rear. It seem to be working pretty good, but will not go to full compression without lifting the oppisite tire.
