Default bolt on tuber

I wanted to build a tuber from brake line but didnt have the heart to tear down the scorpion because since I limited the shock travel the thing crawls really good. Any how I decided to build a bolt on tuber so I could easily still go back to the scorpion. The frame is just tacked up for now and I still need to make a bumper, chassis mounts and get some clear lexan panels. It will also be running 2.2 rock crushers and 8 shooter beadlocks when they arrive.

off the truck pics. Also this is my second tuber attempt and I have built a scaler chassis out of square tube and my own tvp chassis but I learn something new every time.

the weight is next to nothing so it shouldnt affect the performance any.

Exclamation

well I got the 2.2 rock crushers in the mail today and went down and bought the 8 shooter bead lock rims. Hopefully tomorrow I will wrap up all the tube work and welding and get some lexan panels made up. The paint scheme I thing will be silver and green. Took a test run with these tires and they do as good as my rock stompers but fall way short of masher 2ks or moab m2. But I love the looks and the clearance of these things. The mounting tire to wheel went easy and are in very tight. Awsome quality on both companies. post pics this weekend of finished machine, I hope.

well I finished it up today. Not to happy with the color but it will work for now until I can get some other colors. I think the top cover mabye should have been black.

A buddy and I took the new tuber out for some crawlin then it got dark. The extra weight of the chassis did make a little difference with the CG but still crawled well. The rock crushers did preety good with the dry moss on the rock and the extra clearance over the rock lizzards that I also tried proved to be a benefit. The tires looks and the sound of the lugs made up for their lack of grip. Thats it for this build for now.
