Stage 3's are sweet for $12.99 ... And the steel Axials are a great deal at $12.99 a pair. Either one would be a good upgrade!

I have seen and felt a set of tylers lockers, they are tight. and i think a superior design. the stage3 are a better version then stock for sure and cheep. i was in your situation, i looked at it as, 13 bucks for a better one then stock(stage3), or 19 for one that is a whole better idea and design(tylerv). so for me 12bucks more for a pair was a no brainer. hope that helps.

I have Stage 3 locker's and there awesome. There more then just better then stock, hardened chromoly steel. Stage 3 locker's are bullet proof. |

I'd stick with Stage 3's great, economical, and hardened treatment. TylerV's looks nice, but are made of 6061 Aluminum which isn't very strong compared to Chrome Moly Steel. 6061 Alum = 40,000PSI Yeild Strength 4140 Chrome Moly = 95,000 Yeild Strength (Unhardened, typically 110,000 after hardening) |

ok i looked at the post as i am looking ahead to new lockers, and like the idea of the stage 3 Chromoly locker, however the picture on the posts look more like a conical steel piece that attaches directly to the Diff gear, rather than the stock locker. However, on the website they show a more "traditional looking" locker... can someone help clear up this question? ( I realize the original pics may have been a prototype, but coudl not find a place that said anything about the change) |

Hey guys, before you rush into your decision you should look at the Truespool lockers offered by BoNuS LiNe. They are top notch and add weight to the axle assemble wich is the lowest place you can put it. Here a couple of pics of mine. And here is a link to the sale thread in the vendor section. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117750 |

I bought the Axial heavy duty lockers. Personally, I think some of the other ones might be a little overkill, adding too much weight to the drivetrain. |

Weight to the drivetrain is a good thing. Weight down low is never bad in a crawler. Also the added weight won't effect the driveline at all.

Ya I just noticed these new one's too. I really like those! Seems to be the best design yet! But I'm curious to see the other side of the locker installed on the ring gear! I like how Tyler's has to drill out the ring gear to make sure there is enough meat for the locker to engaged fully but it's not chromolly which sorta sucks. I think someone should do a review on all 3!

| I beat the snot out of my Rockracer with Tyler's lockers with a 27T motor on 4cell lipo, with no slipper clutch, and still tight as can be, no wear showing even. Strength is not an issue with Tyler's lockers |

I can't believe that I missed this thread. So far, my locker being made of aluminum has not been a problem what so ever. They have proved to be plenty strong in both mine and Tanis' rigs. Also, prices have been lowered to be more competitive with the ever-growing market of after market lockers .
