I run 4" Losis. Great shock, much nicer than stock.

What weight shock oil would you use in those?

Another vote for the Losi 4" Crawler shock set, part # LOSA5082. The only downside is Losi is backordered so you need to find a retailer with a set in stock.

Before the losi's I tried Traxxas Big Bore Alum shocks and while they were a upgrade over the stock plastic shocks (what isn't), they still leaked badly. The Losi's have not leaked a drop since installing them and are FAR smoother.

Note, the Losi shocks are shorter then the stock shocks and you will need to make some changes to accomodate.

anyone try the aluminum threaded emaxx shocks? I happen to have an extra set and was going to swap out - wondered if anyone has used them and how they performed.

I went from 30wt to 50wt in the Losis and am much happier with them. I'm considering trying 70wt in the back.

Im running JpCustomRcs threaded aluminum shocks. 30wt with the blue springs. They are smooth and dont leak. I got the 110mm ones since the 100mm were out of stock.

Sort of. You have to use fuel tubing for the upper shock mounts. Its a little cheesy, but works really well. Also, they're a little shorter than stock, so you have to use a longer ball end than stock. Limiters also helps on stock chassis.
