Default OK, so who has spent more on upgrades than the original kit cost?

[ this is my expression as I just made another order from Rpp and Corry told me the final total]

yup, I must be hooked.. I've already spent more in upgrades than the darn truck cost by itself, and I've only had it a month.... This isn't including some of the parts that I've made at work ( when the bosses aren't watching)

so who else has spent more than they thought they would on this 'inexpensive' RC truck?

BTW, I'm not b*tching about the $$ I've spent, I'm just shocked at how fast I've spent it, and I still haven't found anyone in my area to go crawling with.

I spent $835 over the kit price just to get it where it is today!

Don't tell the wife.

i think the majority are in this downward spiral....

i bought the RTR to try and keep myself from spending a lot. first, the "C" broke. why replace with plastic when there are cool aluminum ones available? then the plastic tie rod breaks which leads me to upgrade/fab all new metal links. you know it's coming, next time out, servo gear shears off the front, upgrade time again! now the new servo(hobbico cs170) draws a lot of juice. time for a castle bec and some speed control unit to replace the stock stuff. new 45t motor is already in. wheels are on order from Mayhem Eng. LHS has the m3 flat irons in stock...........

the price of the kit or RTR is just the cover charge to the big show if you know what i mean.

nothing in the AX10..... YET! maybe a rockstar chassis? lol when i had my t-maxx in 1 piece it had more $$ in replacement parts than the truck itself.... Mostly bulk heads, arms, hubs, shock towers, servos ect ect.... The t-maxx is now in 3 pieces and its days are numbered.... (sorry got off topic)

Heck my steering servo alone was $100. I don't even want to think about how much I've spent.

not me, i've spent less on upgrades than the kit is to buy

mainly because i build everything

sidewinder=$70
servo's=$50
tq3=$70
tires=$50
motor=$20
misc=$20
total=$280
Kit cost in Australia=$360
thats it, and i am winning comps with it

lets just ignore the fact i didn't pay for the kit in the first place, i won it at the national comp down here in Australia
