no shimming requred on the pinion but you will have to cut some of the plastic case off so the two halfs fit together good

I just did it. Stuck the two halves together and all that was needed was to trim away the small plastic that normaly makes a "seal" with the other half. Way too easy...

I'm just trying to figure a wheelbase now.

I say beer too! I know Coors Light and Heinekin makes mini kegs but they may still be too big. Still, how awesome would it be if you drove this around and you could pour beer out of the tank. I'm sure there must be some container out there that would work well, just paint it properly and add some beer stickers.
