| VF Dig Servo mods
Due to a slip of the DIG servo linkage- I burned out one HS 225MG servo. After looking carefully at the Dig linkage as the servo was mounted on the Dig unit, I decided to dismount the servo. I placed the servo Behind (in front of the Rear output shaft) and in-line with the output shaft. The linkage (coming from a R/C Plane & Heli background) was causing some binding due to the long set screw & being offset from the center of the shaft. This causes a binding / moment arm torque on the output shaft nylon bearing. I have not had any binding issues since moving the servo. Flynfrog Last edited by Flynfrog; 06-10-2008 at 09:55 AM. |

Yea nice job. Them VF digs can be a little tricky on the linkage part but it looks like ya figured it out by trying to get it as straight of a pull as possible. One thing you might wanna try is making another skid little narrower than what ya have and try and narrow up your whole settup some. The narrower your setup the less likely to snag when in the tighter areas. Just something to think about, but I like what ya done so far. |
