whats the best shock setup you can do with the stock ax-10 shocks????

It depends on your terrain, your chasis setup. set it up and experiment

But seriously, I had nothing but trouble with mine. Caps kept popping off, leaving a mess. Get some traxxas big bore shocks, or JP Custom RC's. I have several sets of JP's, and love them. Smoothe and reliable

when using the maxx shocks what do you put in the hole at the top? does the little ball joint deal fit the caps??

I used some nitro fuel tubing. Just slide the tubing in the hole and then just screw the screw through. I tried heating the cap up a little bit and forcing the ball jobber in but it just cracked the top of the cap off so i just used the tubing.
