| New Axial Option Parts from STRC (Shock Bodies, new links, new color!)
Hi Guys, Hope everyone is enjoying their AX10. We have a few new items now available for the Axial AX10: After a very well received release of our Orange option parts, we now added one more color to our Axial option parts...brilliant red We are also introducing a ver. II of our bent lower links: Comparison of our STA30445 (Front) vs. new STA30446 (Rear). STA30446 moves the angle point away from the shocks for easier inboard mounting of the lower links and suspension articulation. Also providing slightly more ground clearance than the STA30445. STA30446 gives another tuning option for AX10 owners And finally our aluminum shock bodies for the Axial AX10: shock bodies help reduce shock body flex and provide silky smooth shock operation. Made from 6061 Aluminum and anodized to match our complete line of Axial AX10 option parts. Replaces the stock plastic shock bodies. As always, comments and suggestions welcome. Sorry haven't been on the board as much lately, but as you guys can see...been busy making a few more parts for the AX10 Steve Wang ST Racing Concepts Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 06-25-2008 at 02:18 PM. Are you planning on selling a complete upgrade kit with all your items for a "set" price? This would be very appealing! |

does it make sense installing alum bodies on shocks that run a plastic cap? doesnt it just strip the plastic? cool parts never the less |

The shock bodies are the most important part of the shocks as that's where the piston and shock shafts passes through, so the aluminum ones will make things smoother, and because of how long the shock bodies are, the aluminum ones will also not flex (compare to the stock ones). We could have easily made the upper and lower shock caps, but that would raise the price significantly and with minimal gain in performance. Steve Wang

Yes, actually this question has been asked before when we launched our Orange anodized parts awhile back. I did a calculation with all the orange parts and applied some discount (for the rccrawler.com visitors ) but didn't get any response after that. I think it would be easier if I do this on a case by case basis, because some guys might want 5-6 parts of the entire line that we produce (while some might want all) so if anyone is interested in picking up quite a few parts at a time, then you're more than welcome to PM me to see if a combo/package price with some discount is available. I think this is the most flexible way for everyone. Let me know what you guys think. Steve Wang

Nice job on the shock bodies, I have the rear lockouts and axiles, case by case is the way to go. Its all nice but I don`t need it all.

| Who cares what looks better....plastic shock caps and rod ends are by far the way to go (imo). I HATE aluminum rod ends as well as (most) aluminum shock caps. Plastic caps and rod ends are smoother, tighter, and perform better than aluminum caps/rod ends. On an aluminum shock body the plastic shock caps do not leak or strip out like they do on a plastic shock body. Nice new bling STRC |

I'm in the process of finishing up my red conversion now, and I have the orange sitting on the shelf for my comp build. Last edited by CharliesTheMan; 06-26-2008 at 09:17 PM. |
