Default Different Versions?

I've done some searching here and could not find a definitive answer so I thought I'd ask the pro's to help me!

I am looking to buy an AX10. I don't want to get the RTR version but don't know between the ARTR and the kit version. It looks like there has been an upgrade to some parts since the first release. Are those upgrades reflected in the ARTR? I found a reference to this on this site:

http://clodzone.com/?p=819

The update would seem to indicate that the new parts are not included in the ARTR. The main reason I am thinking of the ARTR is that I like the new color but if upgraded parts are not included it may be cheaper to buy the kit and change color later than try and buy upgraded parts to bring the ARTR up to date.

Which brings me to this question. Is there more than one kit version? Like an old one with early parts and a new kit with upgraded parts?

Sorry for all the questions but as you can see I am totally confused! Thanks for any help you can give me.

There are already some topics about this.

Take a look at this topic: ARTR (9004) orange or PRO KIT (90001) green
