| Bent my bj....and fixed
So I was out crawling on Saturday and my wheels got into a bit of a bind. I managed to power my way out, but then I noticed that the right side looked a little lower than the left to me. Figured I broke a rod end, but nope, bent my blackjack. Totally my fault, as I chopped out the corner braces to make room for the cobalt motor. Even though I had cross braces and extra screws in the chassis, the torque of this motor was too much for the poor chassis. So, I bent it back by hand (not a good sign for reuse) and went through the metal bin. Came up with some 6061 aluminum in the same thickness, so just traced out the plate and added some extra bracing. Not the greatest looking, but it works, and everything clears all moving parts, etc. and it still allows me to have the lid in the same low position as before. Shouldn't get that bending along that direction again, I hope |

Yeah, no doubt. I love it, but man, the torque and my impatient throttle finger are hell on the rig! After I bent the chassis, I kept driving it, until I snapped a driveshaft |
