With a Mamba Max, you should have gotten a 7 or 8 cell pack. But it's a hell of a list to start with.

It will work fine. With the MM, you can go up to 12. 8 cells really livens up lathe motors and makes them alot more powerfull.

6cell will be fine, and like said, 8cells would really make that torquey lathe motor wake up with some speed.

Oh ya make sure it is @ 6v (as solomon7 stated) they dont come stock @ 6v so you will need to have someone program it or buy the programmer yourself (LHS can sometimes do it for you, mine does, saves from buying the programmer) but you are getting a MMax so you might want to just buy the programmer |

ok, got a BEC on the way and I beleive the programmer comes with the Mamba, so I can program it to what I need. On a side note here, RCP refunded me my money on the Max cause they didnot have any in stock, I hit all of the other stores up and they were out too. I called CC up and told them of my delima and they are shgipping me one out today and they took care of the shipping. This is what you call customer service. I have been looking for this for a long time. I have been using CC for years on my airplane items and I knew they would be great on my truck. I wish other companies out in the world would have this wonderful thing called customer service. I give it to my customers and I know they love it, so it is a treat when I get it once in a while too. Way to go CC, you are the best. |

| The cable that comes with the Mamba Max is just a usb cable, you will need the casle link to program the CC BEC. Or just find someone who can adjust it for you. Once you are at 6V you are set. Save the $20

You might also want to check into a DX3r. The 3.0 is 3 channels but the 3rd channel is only 2 position. You will want dig very soon, Guaranteed You need a 3 position switch for that. Unless you don't want freewheel in your dig. Just a thought | |

I completely agree, customer service is very important to me. I don't buy anything integy, and some people don't understand why. It's simple, I spent my money on their product, I tried to call and ask a question, and they made it very plain to me that they don't care to have me as a customer. I did some research and I'm hardly alone in this problem, so I prefer to buy from people who actually at least act like they want my business. So far these are who I've seen the best customer service from. Joe at East End Machining, www.eastendmachining.com The staff at maxamps.com, www.maxamps.com John Robert Holmes, www.holmeshobbies.com There are some vendors on this site that have great customer service. I only mentioned the companies that I've dealt with that have REALLY gone out of their way for me on more than one occasion. I come from a long line of business men and women, and they have all instilled upon me the value of customer service, so I choose to spend my money with people who believe the same as i do. You're on the way to building a very nice rig. |

Charlies, thank you. I also called CKRC today and they added something to my package which had not been shipped yet. They did not have to do that they could have told me to order it again and they woudl ship it seperate. I also talked to John yesterday and he apologized for being low on stock. Some store owners would not care if they were low on stock or not. So I guess I did my self from behind my not getting the DX3r instead. I really liked the fact I was getting two receivers because I have a t-maxx I want to get going again. Oh well, maybe I can make it work somehow. I asked Castle to send me the Mamba and the software, I hope she knew what I was talking about. If I dont get it, then I will just have to wait to program it later. Thanks a lot guys |
