| Trail truck help
Not alot of rocks where I am so I'd like to make my AX-10 into more of a trail type truck. I tried searching but everything always comes up talking about the x-trail conversion. I'm not really looking to change the chassis on my truck...I just want to know if there are some simple things I can do without spending too much money to make it more trail friendly? Right now I've got Losi Rock Crawl tires on it (are the better tires for trail driving?), a 55t motor, moved the batteries to the front and just installed the rear steer kit. Anyone have any other suggestions? What about the ride height...should I lower it even though it's going to be more of a trail truck? What are my best options for lowering it? Any help would be appreciated |

a trail truck is not really a trail truck without a stock chassis. if you want a trail truck buy an xtrail chassis.

I'd get the losi rock crawler shocks for the lowered ride height. Keep the stock chassis, unless you want to go scale, and for tires I prefer the swamp dogs for trail use but that's just me and I've got a few screws loose. You probably won't need as much articulation but from my experience it doesn't hurt anything if it's there.
