Default Bent Links - Lengths

I'm looking to replace teh stock straight lower links on my AX10 with bent ones... And I saw they come in all kinds of different lengths...

Is it worth moving the axles out?

I'm guessing I need to extend the upper Y link if I move buy longer bottom links...

Suggestions?

the bent links are 8mm longer then the straight ones, but thats only to make up for the distance where its bent. so it shouldn't push the axle out any and your upper links should be fine as well.

Well before i go drop coin on 'stock length' bent ones, is there a reason to run longer ones?

Not sure about RC but frames are streched on dirt bikes/ATV's for hill climbs/racing. Keeps the nose planted to the ground...

On a 1:1 vehicle we move teh axles forward/back for aproach/departure angles... and better flex....
I would assume the same aplies on a 1:10 scale... But is is worth it...

I'de guess that I'd need to extend drive shafts (new ones) as well...

you must not have understood me the bent links don't extend teh wheelbase any it stays the say as with the stock links. The only difference theyll make is give you a little bit of extra clearance.

necro I don't think you understand him. They make various lengths in the bent links from 101 mm on up. I've seen them up to 110mm bent links. I see what your saying but I think he may be talking about the bent links that do actually extend the wheel base of the vehicle. 101mm(bentlinks)=stock(straight links) but I think he's asking about the bent links being sold that are longer than 101mm.

With 101 links on the outside hole the truck is around 1/8 to long for the 2.2 class I don't think u will need to make it any longer mine car was 13 and it just got high centerd so I would say just stay with 101 links or even go with 99mm that is what I did and made the upper link longer by put them in the inside of the three holes u have for the upper links

now this is what my car look like

this is a Hole new chassis got sick of drilling hole in my stock chassis

If you ever run/plan on running in comps?
12.5" is the max wb length for the 2.2 class.
It also seems to be the optimal length.
