Default The Green Machine Rebuild

So after I took my crawler to have some fun in the water I descovered some rust on the bearings and shafts in my axles. I decided to do a complete rebuild of my crawler and add some new components here and there. Some things I added were stainless bearings and hardware, Aluminium Knuckles and C's, Cvd's, and some other little parts here and there.

CDW 5mm Outdrives
Axial CVD's
New Era 4-Link Mounts
Cut Servo Plate to Supprt 4 link Mount
HR Slipper and Aluminium Spur
Axial Front Axle Battery/Servo Plate
Stage 3 Delrin Skid Plate
Stock Beadlocks wrapped wit Proline FlatIrons
Axial HD Lockers and Gears
Axial Rat Rod Body

Electronics
Sidewinder ESC
Thunder Power 1320 3-cell LiPo
Holmes Hobbies Revoler Black

It looks like it sits fairly low. Is the body lowered or does the chassis actually sit that way? I like that low look with the old school body.

I love this body with the "bubble-eye" lights cut off. Bravo. I love the slammmed low-boy look. Nice dovetail too, did you take off any length?

The first body I had on my Axial Kit was from an MRC hammerhead, much like the Parma 34 ford truck.

I only wish I could come up with a cut that makes the hood look better (without removing the hood sides completely) and clear the shocks.

This is one solid rig. Nice work.

The rig looks good I like how your body is slammed down. The one thing I did noticed is that your steering servo is weak compared to what most people are running in competition crawlers. It's fine for a trail rig if thats what you do but for competition you should invest in a stronger servo you've already got a good list of equipment there except for that .

Ive got about 2.5" of ground clearence. It looks really low because the body is as far down on the chassis as possible.

I left the lenght the same. It was really easy to dovetail, because it has almost the exact same bed as the Betty Body. In other words I had a free body to practice on. Just like with your Hammerhead I hated to cut off so much of the body, but it came out good in the end.

I like the FlatIrons. From what ive see they are as good as the Hammers. I like the sharp edge on them, they look more scale than some other tires ive seen. Im running the M3 compound with memory foams. I love the sticky compound. Great tires.
