| Bent Links?!?
I searched the forum and found a ton of stuff on bent links but not the info im looking for. i just ordered my bent links with and edge chassis and looking at pics on the site of other rigs idk what the best way is to mount the links with the bend closer to the tranny or closer to the axles i no the normal way is closer to the axles but are there any advantages or disadvantages the the other way??

Some could say that there is no Right or Wrong way to mount them, how ever I always like to think that mounting the 30 deg. bend closer to the axle is the right way. I see a disadvantage if you mount the bend closer to the trans. When you approach a obstacle with your rear axle, the link will hit the obstacle before your tire does, but if you mount them so that the bend is closer to the axle, the tire will hit the obstacle before the link. |

Couldn't agree more. I tried flipping mine so the bend was closer to the tranny, and it got hung up a lot more. |

I definitely agree with what the guys above mentioned. I've mounted mine both ways for testing purposes, and the bend closest to the axle is by far ther besy way to go.

That's how I have mine mounted on my edge. I am running a sprung shock on it though, so I have my links angled somewhat outward to keep them from making contact with the coils. Now it looks kinda like a frog leg lol Works great with the bend closest to the axle though..
