Default TCS Boomerang 4-Link plates???

I just received my TCS delrin front & rear 4-link plates for my new ARTR AX-10.After the simple install i see that i lost some suspension travel.I tried the links mounted both on top & on bottom of the plates. Both ways there is not as much suspension travel as with the stock 3-link mount.I will run it for awhile and see how it performs.Anybody else run into this situation? Is there a simple fix?

You dont want alot of travel because it would lead to binding of links/driveline so i think you should be okay post up some pics if ude like.

My son runs an ARTR and in stock form it had too much articulation. I would run it the way it is and see how you like it. It should be O.K.

I did a little tinkering with the link mounts. It seems i can get the most articulation with the links mounted on the bottom of the plates.I know that the more articulation is not always the best but i wanted to get it back to where i can get the shocks completely compressed without to much binding.

i hope you are running spacers under the shock piston. if not, thats more flex than you can use.

I have been playin' around a little bit lately. The truck seems to crawl pretty good with the 4-link setup.I ordered some bent links for the front end & a Integy 45T motor.Heres some pics of the truck as of now.

Placed another order for some goodies for my ARTR.I got some bent links for the lower front-softer Axial front springs and an Integy Matrix 45T Crawler motor.Does this motor come with bushing or bearings? I guess i'll find out tomarrow.

I would move the battery lower on the chassis or on the front axles is best. Having it up high will make the rig roll over to easy. Nice rig though BTW.

I got my order in today after work and installed the bent lower front links. Also swapped out the front springs with the softer (white) Axial springs.I was really surprised at how slow & smooth the Integy 45T motor ran.I opted for a 19 tooth pinion gear.I put on some black HPI hoops with the Moabs. Its raining now so i will test it out tomarrow.Yes i need to get some batts to mount on the front end. That is my biggest issue with making this a great crawler.I have some aluminum to make a mounting plate for the batteries. Its suppose to rain all weekend. It will be a good time to spend in the shop doing some fabricating.

Last night i did a little pillow crawling in the livingroom with my new upgrades.Definately an improvement over the stock setup. The suspension works great with the softer front springs and bent links. The 45T Integy provided plenty of grunt. The top mounted battery is a big downfall.I am looking at the TCS 9.6V split packs.Great price on the packs. Now i need to fab the front mounting plates for the packs.Anybody else do any pillow crawling when the weather is foul?
