| Problems removing universals
Has any one had a problem pulling the universals off the pinion shaft or out up shafts on the tranny? I think what has happened is when the truck was assembled (not by me) he used too much thread locker and it has glued the universal on too the shaft. I have tried all the tricks I know even heated it with my soldering iron and no luck I broke the out put shaft on the tranny. Any ideas ??? |

It might have been to much threadlock but i just removed mine and they were hard to get off due to use. As the setscrew keeps pressure on them it seemed to wear into the output shafts and create some burrs and notches that had trouble sliding out. Clutch puller from my buggy days worked great and didnt damage anything.
