I know about your "problems" with the driveshafts. I built mine and was shocked at the issue. I ordered new axials and only had to trim about 1/2" of off the rear shaft. I still need to do the maxx mod but that is another story. Other than drilling new holes, I do not see how to mount the tranny where it is without the dig.

Stampede shafts work good. That's what I have on my MFM. I did have to trim a little off the front driveshaft (male end).

I ended up moving the trans on mine just a bit for two reasons...one was to more even out the driveshaft lengths...and at the same time get the Puller to fit. I'm running CDW 6mm trans outputs on mine, and have a Maxx shaft on one end and a Revo shaft on the other. Only used the Maxx shaft because the Revo was big enough in diameter that it hit the top edge of the skid at full droop.

alot of guys arround here run punishers. they work really well and you should be able to order one in the length you need. Nice setup BTW.

I ended up ordering another skidplate with the trans mount holes drilled centered.I have about 1/4" clearance between the brushed motor endbell & chassis. Both driveshafts are equal as well. Seems to work great,no issues now.

I redrilled my skid because I got the F/T dig, which is on the wrong side of the tranny for ths chassis. I'm using Maxx shaft in the rear and MIP in front.

I gave up on trying to get my 3PM to do 3 positions. I don't have freewheel, but I don't miss it. Your radio will work easily to get 2 positions out of your dig. The third will be tough.

For the price, you will enjoy it. It has lots of high dollar features.

Here is how I did my widow. 20mm screw held by Tamiya nut. then slide on a small plastic washer (Traxxas shock rebuild kit) then fuel tubing slide the shock over and another plastic washer followed by a nylock.
