Scroll down to pics if you don't reading alot of stuffs. -CKRC Rockstar chassis, derlin skid plate -30 deg bent bottom links, all-thread/composite upper links, axial rod ends, rear aluminum upper link bracketand stock 3-link front bracket. -HR 4.72” shocks, we’ll see might need to cut the springs cause of limited shock mounting locations to get the ride height correct -HR Locked out rear axle/ straight axles, stock axial hex -CKRC front behind-the-axle steering (BTA). CKRC cut steering knuckles and C’s, simple homemade front axle plate. I was going to make aluminum servo mounts but lamo hardware stores around here have no aluminum and I don’t want to drive 40 minutes to get some. Plastic for now. Still have to finish up the axle plate. Going to mount the tiny Tekin FX-R under it. Should clear the BTA with some rewiring. -MIP cvd’s drive shafts and Axial front cvd’s. I don’t like the slop of the cvd’s and CKRC knuckles but we’ll see how they work. This normal for the Axial cvd’s inside the knuckles?? -New axial transmission with 87 spur, Integy 55t motor, 12t pinion i think. -CKRC 11.1v 3s Lipo on front axle. Lipo technology is great. -Tekin FX-R esc. This thing is wicked small and easy to setup. I might rewire the truck if I fell like it. -Hitec 5955TG front steering servo, -Two sets of Mayhem double phatty’s. -Flat irons on 8 holes, four weights in each and Losi’s on the 16 holes 4 weights on fronts and 2 weights in rear -Nomadio React Radio. Got the upgrade r/c wrap for it. What do think? I like the radio but I suck at setting up the end points and stuff for the 3rd channel, so I scrapped rear dig for now. I don’t run comps but I’m very close the Ouachita’s with lots of crawl spots. Here are pics so far. I need alot more time on the rocks with this truck. More to come. I'm still waffling on the servo mounts. Open to comments. |

Here is the roller. Had some set backs with links. Had to fab some up. The MIP drive shaft seems to cutting it close on the lengths. I clocked the rear axle to get some length back and the front upper links are adjustable so I clocked the front a bit too. The CKRC front Hubs, knuckles and BTA link setup easy. With the wheels turned max left and right, no clearance issues at all with the Axial front CVD's either. I will have to test some different spring setups. There isn't much room for error with this chassis. Roller seems solid. |

Looks like it steers well with that BTA setup. |

Finished up tonight. Still gotta do a little work. New wires all round. This thing has great steering! Although, the truck freezes when turned hard. I have to wait and let it reset. Don't know why. Some electronical. Servo overloading esc? Anyways here are the pictures. Murdered out some parts too. Last edited by Szczerba; 10-15-2008 at 08:06 AM. |

Looks good. Are your shock angles different in the rear? The pics make them look like they are at different angles from each other.

Thanks Probably so. I had to drill out the shock cap end eyes. Probably didn't get them all the same. Those shocks have no left to right movement on the "top" of the shock (shock cap). And the way they mount the chassis, both shock ends cannot be perpendicular to mounting points. Hard to explain but an easy, just uncalculated fix. Last edited by Szczerba; 10-14-2008 at 10:03 PM. |
