| My crawler after 5 months...
Ok i got a ax10 rtr last 5 months ago and here it is now.... It used to be like this before the transformation began>>>>Axial Ax-10 W/ Monster beetle body Specs: Ax10 rtr hotracing bent links, C hubs, Knuckles. Hitec 645mg (finally have a servo that i can trust) Axial rear steer kit. jr xr3 + novak xxl rx (I got it for 30 bucks) custom chassis xspede shocks, drive shafts. ok enough chit chat now on with the pics. I used the stock battery plate for the servo and battery and the stock rtr smaller steering link |

Nice start, I dig it. How are you liking those shocks? They look nice, are they smooth and leak free?

looking good so far! Oh if you ever decide to get into comps. I would ditch the rear steer for dig and use the 645 for that. Then get an even better servo for the steering. Is the XXL reciever 2 or 3 channel? I have a 2ch one in my rock racer and love it. It is nice and small. The XR3 is a good radio. It has a 3 pos. 3rd channel that will come in handy later on. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing. |

For a simple TVP chassis, that looks really cool. And it saves you the headache of coming up with some kind of body mount system as well. Sponsored by Dairy Queen, huh? Last edited by Big Mike; 10-20-2008 at 11:42 AM. |

Do you meet these requirements. You will need a tape measure....these are strict so I would not want to guess. 2.1.3 - Bodiless vehicles: Must be a self-supporting, structurally complete, rigid frame. The roof must be raised a minimum of 1” from the main chassis to resemble a cockpit. The frame sides must be an overall minimum of 1” tall (The cockpit & frame side are to be measured vertically from where the hood intersects the cab). Bodiless vehicles should resemble a 1:1 vehicle. 2.1.3.2 - Unibody – Constructed of a single piece of solid material (fiberglass, aluminum, plastic, etc) and must be self supporting. A Unibody cannot be fastened together in any non- permanent way such as, nuts & bolts, pins, rivets, zip ties, etc. The roof must be raised from the main chassis to resemble a cockpit and should resemble a 1:1 vehicle. 2.3.5 - 2.2 Crawler class bodiless overall dimension of the complete chassis must be at least 8"overall length, 3" overall width, and 3.75" overall height. |
