Default battery plate/BTA steering and light setup

Well decided to go lipo so i built myself a battery plate. While i was at it, isnt really more work to go BTA also. I was lucky as the stock steering link worked with just a little extension (had major toe-out) Only reason why the stock link doesnt hit shocks is because when i made my lower links, i made the front ones (a little too short ), it rotated the front axle and i got the necessary clearance.

Had to clearance the diff case a little but works great . Used the stock knuckles too, have to mod them,
explained here :http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=1186

After the batt plate, i was able to redo my front lights and make a clean finished look for the front axle.

Battery plate mod before BTA :

after BTA and redone lights :

a few pics with the stock steering link:

I really like the lights. Where did you get the leds and the holders?

i got a bunch of led's off ebay for cheap. got some 3mm, 5mm and some 10mm, i made the holders with some thin metal strips that i punched two little holes into and help the led's hold with some flexible plastic glue. Made a distribution box with resistors and powered by an 9volt battery. I'm very pleased with the runtime and lighting !!

few more pics:

had some fun with exposure time,

Thanks, I can see the 10mm in these pics. They really give good under chassis light. Our crawl comps start at 5 pm. Even tho we have yard lighting the shadows make seeing high spots really hard to see and picking a line is tough. Being blind in one eye don't help. LOL Nice pics.
