Default Tire / Wheel Question

On my CR-01 the wheels have two holes on the inside to let air vent in or out as needed when the tires compress or expand.

On my AX10 there is no holes, so the tires feel much stiffer. Does anyone put holes in the AX10 wheels to vent them or are they meant to be a little stiffer than say, the Tamiya type?

I always vent my wheels, if not they bounce. It depends on foam setup, and what you are going to do with your truck.

Cool, that's what I was thinking. The manual did'nt mention anything, but pretty much all the RC's I've owned had some kinda of vent hole in the wheels.

You need to vent them. Vent them through the screw hole.

if you don't have a drill you can cut two small holes in your tire but try to drill a hole if you can

No you have to vent them. I searched the site and someone had actually lined up their vent hole with a screw hole so you can control the amount air or seal it up depending on the terrain. This is what I did to my Mayhem Double Phatty's and it works great

Two 1/8th holes 180 deg apart dead center on the tire. Drill the holes in the tires not the rim works like a charm.

What happens if you drill more than one hole or larger than 1/8"? Any gain or loss? I drilled 4 holes in my mrc and it seemed to bounce, is that my imagination?
