Default Need Heavy Duty Drive Shaft Upgrade Recommendations Please.

I want to upgrade the drive shafts on my Axial AX10 with something pretty beefy.
I had one pop apart the first day, they just dont seem all that tough to me.
I know there are some things you can do to make them better, like "cups" etc.
But I figure it would be better to just replace them.

I found these today and they seem nice for the price, but are they metal?

Thanks
~John

mip's, but if you have a dig you need to find a smaller rear shaft.

And if you run certain chassis you have to cut the front one way down... I still need to cut a bunch more off of mine....

DOH, remembered that after I posted this,
I do plan on installing a dig, either the DNA or CKRC.

Is it not possible, or recommended to cut it down a bit shorter?
About how much shorter would it need to be?

stay away from the drive shaft rings, they tend to grab on the rocks too much. install some revo shafts they are good and beefy

Maxx / Stampede / or MIP shafts are all improvements. Punishers are supposed to be pretty good too.

Ah thanks, didnt know that. Shame thats about $20 more just for the custom shaft set.
Ehhh, gotta pay to play I guess.
[EDIT] actually its only $15 more when you buy the set, not bad.
The MIPs are Metal though,,,, right?

Maxx shafts, CDW outputs, and Wheely King inputs are holding up to all kinds of terrorizing.

Beef.

Default shafts

pede shafts and yoke. Cheep way to go and very easy to shorten. Jato shafts are good too.

If you do go with the MIPs do not just cut them short and think they will work. You must take a small section out of the male half of the shaft (<) and weld it back together. I think I took about a 1/2in out.

I like the MIPs and have been happy with them. Go with the DNA dig you will not regret it.
