Default gear question

Hey guys, I have a 55t motor and wondering what pinion and ring gear your running? Im running the stock speed control and a 3800mah 6 cell pack. Im just not sure the 14t has enough wheel speed

have you ever thought of buying a 45t motor. it'll give you more wheel speed and you can pick up a integy lathe motor for around 20 bucks. If you dont wanna go that route you could always go up to a 7-8 cell pack. Either way works but the motor would be the cheaper route. and dont worry about torque I've ran both and the 45t has plenty of torque for crawling.(I've ran both) but just my opinion

P.S. i'm assuming you are running a rtr. I'm not sure what you can put on it battery voltage wise, you may wanna check before doing anything.

I heard 35t are better for 6 cell batterys-I'm running 10 cell 12 on with 55t motor. I got some wheel speed. 10t pinion and 93 spur gear.
You can get cheap 35t for as low as $17.99 from Holmes Hobbies

I am running a 65t and a 14t pinion and a L cheapo esc that is rated for 6cell sub c on a 3 cell lipo and have not had the frist problem,
Now if I were to put a low turn motor that pulled alot of amps on it
with that voltage I am sure it would smoke in 1 second .
I have crawled all day and have yet to get it warm, How much
are you full tilt with a crawler?? It has more than enuff wheel speed
and gobbs of power. Note that this is my situation and you mileage
may vary Whats the worst thing that can happen? burn a 40 buck
esc? Just a good reason 4 me to get a good one.
