| Stock RTR Servo
What is the torque on the stock RTR servo? I looked around quickly and did not find it.

Not real sure, but fairly certain, that like the rest of the RTR stuff, it will need to be replaced. I'm planning on replacing mine with a higher torque, metal gear one, and using the current one for a Dig Tranny... can't imagine the torque requirements for that will be too high.

I figured that it didn't have too much torque. Still curious as to how much. Either way, I'd like to get a new one if for nothing else to upgrade to metal gears. I'd just like to know what I am up against.

It has 85 oz of torque, not much. Upgrade to a jr 9000t/9100t or ds8711/8611.

Thanks for your help, guys! I might look into the CKRC "wiggle" servo. For $33 it seems like the best bang for the buck. Metal gears, ball bearings and 181 oz of torque. Any one using this yet? Any thoughts? |

I started out w/Hitec that put out about 200oz and it died in a few weeks so i bought the TowerPro brand new off a buddy while waiting for a JR 400oz that i had to order after the Hitec went up in smoke. The Tower servo had much better power then the Hitec at a 1/4 the price.
