Don't take this as the gospel, but I wouldn't exceed 8.4 volts on the stock ECS.

I did some research and the specs from axial say 5-10 cells. I read that and was like. I strapped on an eight cell saddle pack and has worked fine.

If it will handle 10 cells, then strap a 3s lipo to it.

I traded for one to us ein a rock racer/basheer and I run 9.6v on it with a 15t motor and its doing fine. Not the best esc out there but its nice to have the voltage capability. I know bender ran a 3c lipo on a RTR for a while befor it smoked, but I think he was running a hot motor on it as well. It would probably run fine with a 3c as long as you keep the motor arround a 55t.

I ran 10 cells-Its very jumpy-dont recommend you do it in a comp! I did run 10 cell in a comp and it was too fast. I got a Tekin FX R and its great! Matt
