| AX10 Progress Slowly but Surely (lots of pics)
Here's my slowly but surely progress thread. Comments and suggestions welcomed. I started about 2 months ago with a plain jane RTR AX10. I was all over this board gathering info before i actually received it in the mail and new it wouldn't stay stock for long. The upgrades i've gather so far are: Losi Spektrum DSM radio/receiver (best investment so far) Skyion 144oz metal gear steering servo Integy 45t motor Stock ESC with deans ultra plug ARTR Orange upper and lower links and steering links Orange aluminum tranny plate with links mounted inside chassis Homemade Plexi axle and upper link mounting plates On the way is an 8 cell Elite split pack for the axles I was able to move the move the shocks to the middle hole to lower the truck to just a sliver over 3" compared to the 3 1/4+ it was stock. I cound't invert the shocks or mount them in the last hole with the artr links. I think with some longer bolts and some spacers i could achieve both. I think my next upgrade is going to be some good tires. Its been so cold up here in new england i've only actually had it outside on rocks once since i've had it and that was when it was all stock. |

I dropped and trimmed the body on my rtr. Not only did it help with accents and decents but it just plain looks bad @$$! Last edited by theslowguy; 01-16-2009 at 03:59 PM. |

Eventually I will trim and drop my body as well. I actually do all my crawling indoors for now because of the weather and I don't use the body for that.
