Default AX10 Axle play.

My AX10 has only 3-4 hour of running time and I have some play in my axles. Think itīs been there from the beginning?

How much play is ok? As it is now I can move the car back and forth aprox 10mm. Is that right?

Was your rig an RTR, Kit, or ARTR?

Mines got plunty. But it is a Comp rig and gets abused. They get play over time.

I went to the HD Gears and i got less, and its showing less... But still there. Dont forget those lockers stretch also..

I have noticed that between the lockers, ring & pinion gears, and the dogbone side of the axles, my crawler has about 1/4 wheel turn of slop

It is a Kit.

"Nice to hear that you all also got some play" Then it seems like there is nothing wrong with my car

The lockers that come with the kit arent that great they have alot of play and the tolerances between the hole on the locker and the dogbone are low there for lots of play. Do yourself a favor and get some stainless steel lockers the tolerances are alot better there for less slop and there 10 times stronger then the stock ones.. the lockers that come with the kit are also knowen to strip out over time. So like i said before do yourself a favor and get some better lockers i got my stainless steel lockers from RCP.

RCP stainless lockers and straight axles took just about all the play out of the rear axle. The front still has a little because I'm running stock axle shafts.
