Default Suspension problem

I got a ARTR ax10 with Ckrc 120mm shocks. The problem I'm having is that when sitting level it sometimes leans to the left or right and when I use my finger I can rock it back and forth pretty far. Only thing I can think of what is causing this is having the shocks mounted on the inside on the axle and not the outside. Any help would be appreciated

Try preloading the spring a bit on the side it is leaning to. If it's the aluminum shocks with the adjuster, try that.

My problem is it sometimes it's the left other times it's the right. Cause I was gonna try that with like different springs but it just kinda changes around.

Use the same springs on each shock. See how it sits. Change to a stiffer spring, and if that doesn't help adjust each shock individually. Just takes a little tinkering.

Try stiffening the springs on both sides and moving the shocks farther out on the axle unless they will get in the way of the tires when turning or flexing. My truck tilts side to side pretty easily as well but this is not racing so body roll is not an issue.

Sound like something might be binding....make sure all links/rod ends etc... move freely. Also, check make sure your shocks aren't bent or siezed too...

Thanks guys, I'll try the stock springs on it and see how it works, or should I maybe use a different weight oil, right now I got 20 all the way around. too many choices. :(

Having the shocks mounted inbord will effectivly lower the shocks acting rate, because now the shock does not need move as far to get the axle to flex. Try moving them out to get a more stable ride, or run stiffer spring and around 70wt in the shocks that are inboard. If you are not running rear steer, I would recommend at least putting the rear shocks as far outboard as you can.

Sounds like you need a little more pre-load on your springs, a stiffer spring, or a lighter shock oil.

right think of your axels as a lever and the shock as the fulcrum point (like a sea-saw) if you put your shock futer out on the axel it will be easer to move the tire up and down now move the shock futher in and it will take more force to move that same tire

Almost, just the other way around, Futher outbord the harder to move. Closer to the center and the easier to move.

Well today I preloaded the shocks and it works a lot better now, my only problem is the drive shafts keep coming off the output shafts part no. ax30404, I was thinking of drilling the output shafts and running a screw all the way through or should I just use some Loctite?

Locktite - also you can add a second setscrew on the other side to give a little more grip.

Pictures of your link/shock setup??

Dont drill all the way through the output, I usually only drill a small crater in them to help center the set screw and yes use locktight.

I think i will try that in the next few days, cause at the moment the set screws on all my cars seem to be coming off hopefully it will work.
I'll try to get some pictures in the next few days
