Default How to make weights for your ax10.

all you need is a sisors, pice of plastic tubing, electric tape, BB's, and some thing to cut the pipe like a dremel tool.

First you have to cut the pipe to the length you wnat it.

Then you tape one end so you can put the BB's in

Then fill the pipe with BB's

Then tape the other side and wala you have a weight

Here are some pics of it on my AX10

Cool beanz making stuff is the fun part.

If you put your batteries on your axles instead of the weights you wouldnt need the weights and lower your CG

and if you put lead weights in your tires it will lower your CG even more.

That is a good idea if you already have weight in the tires and are running small lipo's like I am. Thanks for the idea.

Yes, but you can't run foams, the BB's will need to roll to find bottom.

Very nice idea indeed. What was the total weight for each?

I'm about to make a battery config that looks just like that, I've posted some pictures of it in our swedish RC forum. link

I'm going for a 7-cell NiMh pack with three cells on rear axle and 4 cells in the front.

Maybe I need to adjust the weight bias with wheelweights later on. But it's my first AX10 mod since the little "krypare" (crawler in swedish...) just found it's way to me this last friday.

neat idea. i wonder if some bead-lock wheels out there are made w/ enough room that would allow an inner tube w/ either fluid or bb's that would always stay low in the wheels in any configuration? I got it! Fluid filled inner foams. Just food for thought.
