| I used the duratrax stainless bearings because I used to run in water, but if you don't the Boca green sealed bearings are great. Here's a link http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXD125&P=ML |

i really just need to take them out...but its late and im tired...are the bearings in the knuckles 5x11 or are the ones inside the housing? i was thinking the ones in the knuckles were larger...i was really looking for a place online that i could order specific bearings individually...rather than a kit for the whole truck cuz i wanna get multiples for spares

And...screw Duratrax. Get your bearings here: AVID BEARINGS Cheaper, and IMO...a better bearing. | |

In the aforementioned site I do not see abec ratings for the bearings. Can anyone with experience on these help out?

their site states: Does ABEC rating mean everything? In some industries the answer is yes, but in RC it definately is not. Due to the tight tolerances of an ABEC7/ISO4 bearing, testing has revealed that normal amounts of dust destroy the bearing quicky when entering the tight grooves of the bearing. Our testing has proven that with our manufacturer, ABEC3/5's provide the best performance per cost value. back to top |

Now I feel silly that I have been buying abec7 bearings for my on roads... What the heck, a big waste of money! BTW I saw that statement but nowhere do they say what each bearing is 3 or 5, not even for their ceramics! Last edited by MadForce; 04-06-2009 at 01:31 PM. |
