Default Stock chassis competetive?

I am waiting on an AX10 ARTR to arrive and want to compete with the WPAC guys.

I've been away for a while and see that things have changed in the crawling world!

I want to know if anyone who is NOT an awesome driver thinks the stock chassis can compete or should I just start off by picking up a different chassis?

I am interested in the Edge tuber. I like the looks, plus, I think I would like to have a semi-droop setup.

In the past, I've had a Bender chassis with TLT axles and Moabs...anyone remember those? I liked it, but I always seemed to flip it!

LIke everyone else, I changed set ups when I got bored.

One version that I really liked was with a BMV chassis. Anyone not familiar with a BMV, it is basically a torsion style rig with no shocks. It had 3 plates with 2 rods that connected everything. I did a dig setup on it and also fitted Maxx shafts to the TLT cups...did a write-up a while back that looks like the one in the AX10 section.

I see that the Edge has a nice price right now...is it worth ditching the stock chassis, or should I save my money untill I can get something else? Don't want to spend too much since times are tough for me just as they are for everyone.

I think the stock chassis can be very competitive with a few tweaks. I finished 4th overall in the MNRCRC spring series last year with a stocker and it was my first year crawling.

Your supposed to tell me that it sucks!

I just Paypaled Rockcrawler for his Edge tuber and accessories.

I guess the smart thing to do is tweak the stocker, then build the Edge so i can compare the 2...I'm not always smart!
