Lot of guys are going to tell you metal rod ends are not the way to go. They develop a lot of slop and are just not as good as the higher quality plastic ones. If you want stronger rod ends go with traxxis or dubro rod ends |

I use traxxas rod ends seem to work pretty well. Just make sure they are the 3mm not the 4mm (I think T-Maxx)if you want to bolt up to existing rods ect...

I made new 4mm lower links and use the traxxas 4mm ends. Way more better!

Traxxas 1942 are 3mm rod ends but are a little longer than stock Axials... definitely stronger though.

why? I have broken two delrin 4 link plates and a rear axle housing but never a plastic rod end. You can buy a package of about 14 traxxas rod ends for 7 bucks and they only take a couple of min. to change if you do ever break one. I think I would rather break a rod end than what it is bolted to, concider it a fuse.
