Nice rig man. I like your setup. But if your looking to make it better I suggest a 2 cell lipo on the front axle. Make some plates out of lexan and put that rooster on the front upper links, and the same for your reciver but make the plate to fit on the inside of your chassis sideplate. Lower center of gravity , and you can lose the big plate off of the top of the chassis. Also move your body mounts up beside your shocks, as they won't get hung up as much. nice truck.

plan to go lipo one day but satisfied with splits for now..My first rig so not bad i dont think!Could def lose some weight this winter when i tear it back down and start over!I have a lexan link plate but seemed to bind up the links after 4 linked so i removed it....Pretty stable as is and since so much weight on wheels and axles with all the batteries the little bit of top weight seems to be over powered by low weight! This winter she's going on a diet!

Dude, nice start.. looks like you done your homework... Just go lipo, at least 3s 1500mah (make sure your esc can handle it), ditch the reciver batteries and use 4 upper links. You pretty much there already. Maybe run droop...It's my fave mod (It lowers your cog), while looking cool.

| Ok, I'll go down the list, But ya might not like it; Novak rooster crawler, Doesn't support lipo 3s Novak 55t, not enough wheel speed hs645mg, not enough torque maxx shocks with cap mod, too long inboarded skid, OK but could use more triangulation tcs 4 link rear,Bender 4 link front OK, But links could be longer Ton of weight in wheels soon to change to weighted axle housings instead of wheels Too heavy, do not add weight anywhere but in the wheels 6 cell splits for motor too heavy too little power hump receiver packs on rear axle too heavy/unnecessary, ditch it for a bec airtronics radio gear not my favorite but OK if it is 3 channel with 3 pos switch for dig pede shafts good HB white Rovers excelent all balls metal and metal nuts(plastic nuts are junk!) good But hey everyone has to start somewhere and you are coming to a good place for help. Good on ya. |

Do you still have the factory straight lower links. Equal length uppers and lowers is the first thing I do to any shaft driven rig. I'd recommend a Castle ESC or a Tekin so you can run a 3 cell lipo. Ditch the Rx packs,go Castle BEC. Good skid with a bit more triangulation would be a bit better IMHO. |
