the 3racing cvds are actually very strong. some of the guys i run with use the 3racing ones and they like them better than the axial ones

I have broken 3 axial CVDs in the last 2 comps
I went back to stock set up. Just shaving the cups down for a little more steering. If I had the $$$ I'd get the new felsenfest CVDs. They look indestructible.

Hmm:? I run that same combo, never had any breakage. The cvds have a bit of slop in them, but aren't broken.

I would go with egressor cvds if I buy some new ones.

im running a 2s with 65t and 45t depending on what im doing. and have broken pins left and right... i believe it has to do with the amount of steering you have. I have a lot of steering and if i punch the throttle with them locked in any direction (like when burning with dig) a pin will snap garanteed. Trying to figure out a better set up. looking into the xvd's from rc4wd but they're out of stock.

I have had my axial CVD's in my rig sense they came out, and had zero issues.

my axial cvd's were good for about six months, then i broke three pins last weekend on 2 packs. the right broke then the left about 30 minutes later, then the left again after 15 more minutes. the lhs sold me pins that were long that i ground down to fit is probably why the third one went though.

do any of the other cvd's turn tighter than the axial ones?

Oh, I forgot to add one variable into the mix.....my heavy trigger finger!

BTW, the Felsenfest CVDs have held up nicely to that combo!

my buddy broke pins on both brands in his rig same motors and 3S ....

Only difference was I run a slipper and he doesnt .....

snapped another pin this evening, then 5 minutes after fixing it that shaft snapped. i did do some grinding last weekend to let the steering go full throw until the cvd's bound, then set my tx to go as far as it could without the 8711 whining. might need to back it down a few, kinda scared to add the 3s goat ESC now.

so i have ran axial cvd which lasted about 2 weeks, and mip's that lasted about 3 weeks! stick with the dogbones they wont let you down! if you run your rig the way it was intended cvd's will never last. when i had mine i was on the rock 5 days a week with a comp every other weekend. if you dont mind buying cvd's every paycheck then give them all a shot!
