Default Which motor for me

My Ax-10 currently runs an Novak 55t, people are telling me that my troubles are coming from an old motor that needs replacing. So, I thought, what the heck. I'll just replace it and see.

I never like buying the same part twice, because I think there is always room for upgrades.

My question is what is a good motor for my AX-10?

stock spur with 12t pinion

HB Rovers

5.5 oz in each front and 4.25 oz on each rear.

1500 6 cell split pack

Rooster ESC

Trying to stay semi cheap, but get something good.

Will be thankful for any help on this topic.

To stay cheap and good... toughy.

I guess the V11 Integy motor. 35 turn or 45 turn, though they have a 55 if you like your wheelspeed as it is now.

What problems are they? You probably just need to clean out the motor.

Yeah I would clean it up, I usually hook mine up to a single subC battery, dunk it in water a few times, then electric motor spray, then oil the bearings. The comm may need to be cut, or the brushes could be worn out.

That motor is a throw away job when it goes wrong - hence the low price.
The Novak 55 sucks - it's magnets are very weak. A bit better is the Integy 55 Lathe motor or better again the V11 as EeePee suggested.

They're the same. I think by 55s they mean 55's as in plural, 55t just means 55 turns, the higher the turn the slower the motor so a 65t is even slower.
