I've seen that a couple times. It was probably already cracked for a while.

Weirdest one I saw was a rear housing snap right in the middle.

I am suprized you have never seen that, thats why most of quit using Axials along time ago-reliability.

Yeah, I've seen several trucks that slowly developed a crack on the bottom of the housing right where the aluminum C's mount. Good thing to check for once in a while. At least a new housing is cheap

I remember a comp 2 years ago I was doing a front dig and both fronts came off just like that.

There is only so much that these axles can take. I think most of us break our trucks when we see what kind of a bind a berg just drove itself out of, and then we try to go do the same thing with our axials.

My ax10 axles are wobbly and probably need replacing. I think I replaced them back in march.

Good damge there, I've twisted a few off myself. I will have a fix for this problem, but it will be a month or so before it's ready. Picture a cromoly tube inside the axle, running from the diff bearing to the outer axle bearing, the "c" would bolt up to the tube. Pretty simple actually.

EITHER WAY, breaking stuff on your truck is fun. In a sick twisted kinda way.

as long as it doesn't get too expensive. Luckily ax10 axles and their parts are cheap and widely available

I've only ever done that once, on a rear housing, after running Axial's for almost 2 years now, and that was after a few repeated falls off 10-15' ledges landing right on the rear corner. I did pick up a front RC4WD aluminum housing for the front, just for peace of mind after that happened, hasn't happened again, and I drive my car just as hard as any Berg I've seen.....and I've crawled with Austin before and after comps which if any of you have seen him beat on his truck post comp........:-P
