Talking ~The Scale Shop~ K.O.T. Build...

TXRCRCA is putting on a king of the hammers style event aptly called King Of Texas. its a rock race/crawling/hammers themed race using 2.2 rules, but allowing up to 14" WB and rear steer. This will be my entry.

ill be using 2.2s and axial axles with plans to swap out at a later date to RC4WD MOA worminators. ill probly add rear steer just because im used to it on the super.

Designed for standard 4" shocks and about 3" of belly clearance. ill add the nessesary lexan panels to make it bodiless legal.

i finished all the CAD files and sent them to the machinist. hope to have something back soon

should be fun

yes and no ;) i have a new version of those in the works. allitle more sinister. the wheels and tires shown are actually just a 1.9 combo i had already drawn up. i just increaded the size from 3.7" diameter to 5.25" so there not really scale at all. or even a 2.2.

Cool design. Just a little constructive critisism.......

I forsee the chassis bending where the top of the subframes attach to the main chassis. The forces from the shocks are going to want to bend the ends up if it takes a good hit or lands a jump hard.

Might want to make those cross pieces go all the way across or some other type of reinforcement.

Looking sweet!

FYI - Someone had a set of your wheels on eBay and they went for cheap and I missed out on them.
