Default EP's 'Sportsman' SSS Axial

Revisited! It was always a Sportsman class truck! Ha!

It's never had a dig thing on it, and after tooling around with the personality-less Losi I wanted a working Axial truck to play with. So, why not get my favorite one working again?

This time I was in no hurry to finish it so I did it real nice. I seem to outdo myself with wiring jobs every time now, and this one takes the cake. Stealth mode on!

Here's the re-birthed bad ass mofo. Looks pretty much the same really.

4 pounds 9.0 ounces RTR.

Stealthy!

As much as I wanted to use the new Holmes Hobbies BR-XL controller, it just wasn't gonna fit where I wanted to put the ESC.

The only thing that matters, the axle cases!

Oh, and diff case thing and gasket, transmission cases and gears and motor plate, rear axles and knuckles and lock outs. Maybe some screws. Servo mount. Not even an original bearing in there anywhere.

Wow, very impressive wiring.

Somehow I don't think I could hide my Sidewinder and Nomadio Rx like that!!

Only thing missing is a black spur gear to match. ;)

Thanks fellas. I appreciate your comments.

I wish you guys could pick this thing up and check it out, it's awesome what 4 pounds and 9 ounces feels like. I could drop almost 3 ounces off the chassis going to my old Holmes Cobalt 500, but there's something about having serious power that justifies the additional heft.

Feels a little like buying a new 30 pack of beers.

Holy crap, cleaned wiring I've ever seen.

Can't wait for Santa to bring my 'Sportsman' rig.

That is the cleanest wiring I have ever seen. I also like how low the body sits. Can you drive unside down? HA. How does it climb being so light?
