| Electronic problems Hey guys I hope you can help. I just got my AX10 rtc and I am haveing electronic problems already. It's only been run once and I had to put it away. It will get "twichy" or it will lock up and do nothing or it wont turn to the left and move at the same time. I have heard that the electronics aren't that good, but crap out after 5 minutes? I am new to the crawling game but I have many other cars. Any info you have would a great help. |

Can you provide more information about your setup? What radio and battery are you using? Are you certain that the Radio has fresh AA's in it?

Move the receiver as far away from the ESC as possible |

My RTC did the same thing to an extent, mine would stop when you had the steering bound up and tried to go foward. Or when you would try to climb something steep it would glitch like crazy most of the time. A cheep fix would probably be a BEC, my fix was a Tekin FX-R esc and a Futaba 3PM-MX radio, now it works great. Me and a friend both have RTC crawler bought at the same shop three days apart and his had a whole different set of issues. He called Axial, and they told him in a round about way that they were aware of the poor operation of their electronics. Try the relocation of the reciever first. If it's unusable I would take it back to where you got it and show them they may be able to warranty your ESC through Axial. Last edited by BLKXJ 96; 11-05-2009 at 09:08 PM. |

BEC for sure. just got one, and it solved all my problems. love it now, you might also want to change out the stock controller with a better one. but the bec will fix a majority of your problem.

Also, going with a 2.4GHz Tx/Rx system will eliminate all radio interference. If you have glitches after that, it's all the ESC (can't supply the electrical demand). That's when you move to a new ESC- Rooster Crawler, FXR, etc.... The Axial ESC is crap, no 2 ways around it. That was the first "money spending" mod I did to my RTC. Put in a Rooster Crawler ESC and moved the receiver and it helped alot. Hope this helps as to why it's doing what it's doing. |

My advice would be to insert a BEC. I'm experiencing the same thing.
