| VP high steer knuckles/drag link steering set up
alright fellaz, i just installed my vanquish high steer knuckles but cant figure out how to do the drag link for the steering since the steering rod is now in the way of the servo. is there a specific way to do this or is it a do it yourself one off? any and all advice is greatly appreciated. pics would be a plus help for me. much respect....scorpion670 |

Usually when you swap to high steer knuckles, there is a bit of customization of the linkages required. Can you post a picture of your current setup? That will help with giving suggestions...

You just about see how I had mine set up here. I ran the tie rod bellow the steering arms allowing a little more space for the drag link to move in. You don't get quite as much clearance as you would running the tie rod above the arms but it's still much better that stock knuckles. |

I started with a convoluted tie rod set up. Then I just cut some 3/16 delrin sheet, drilled three holes and made an bent drag link. |

| I'm in the market for new knuckles right now too. I keep looking at the VP knuckles, but was concerned about the setup. By most of the pictures I've seen of setups, if you run the drag link under the knuckles, it really seems to defeat the purpose of high steer knuckles. Stock knuckles with the drag link mounted on top is the same height as high steer mounted below. I think using them as a BTA setup is probably the best way to go. |

My tierods on top in the closest hole to the knuckle with the draglink on top. Then my servo arm is pointing up instead of down.
