| Axial ESC
I just bought a used AX10 and I can't get the thing to run. After I turn the power switch on the thing chirps once and the LED on the ESC flashes green with a little bit of red (the ESC is an Axial AE-1). I never get the 3 beeps. I can't find anything online about LED status lights. Could this problem be the battery is shot? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where abouts is the program button? I've looked all over but can't find it, obviously I'm overlooking it.

ignore that, there's no program button on the axial AE-1 (that I know of) Simple: flip around the plug on the receiver. It's more than likely backwards. If it's the stock receiver, there might be notches for the plug, make sure the black (negative) wire is on the side opposite the notch. If there's no notch, then just try it the other way that you have it and see if that helps. |

That worked! I had to move the plug so that the black wire was opposite the notch. I turned it on, then the throttle was controlled by the wheel and steering was controlled by the throttle trigger. So I switched plug positions and it works great now! The reverse seems to be faster than forward, is that normal? Thanks for your help! I would've still been messing with it!

The reverse being faster may be a timing issue with the motor, but most likely your motor wires are flipped. Here's a test (each way works, but it's user preference) Pull the trigger all the way back, then quickly push it forward... If it goes into reverse instantly, and it takes two pulls on the throttle to go forward, try it the other way (unplug the motor wires from the bullet connectors and plug them in the opposite way) If it brakes and takes a second push to go into reverse, this is the way the esc was designed. |

I'm away from my rig now, but when I got it running I remember having to tap the throttle twice to go forward from reverse. So that is not how it is supposed to be? I'd prefer the other way around. I'll switch the wires around and see how that goes. Thanks for the help!
