| Axial AX10 Scorpion build on the cheep!!
I will be starting my build on my new axial ax10 soon and i wanted to show u some of the parts i have been getting. I will be opening everything early because this is my Christmas present but i wont be in AZ on Christmas morning so my parents are letting me open it early. Also this is my first crawler and my first time starting a thread on this forum so have some respect. I have some of the parts already but really cant do shit with them so bare with me until i get the other parts so here are some of the parts. This my old battery charger that works fine for charging so no need to spend money on something you already have. This is my 55t axial motor and Venom 3000mah NiMH battery that i just got today. This would be my Traxxas TQ3 remote that i got from ebay for around 25 dollars with shipping, which only took 2 days to get for shipping. I am waiting on the crawler to be in stock and then i will buy it so i will keep you posted and tell me what you think.evil: |

I will hopefully be getting my crawler by Wednesday of next week. I will spend most of the day building it because im so into this stuff i have been looking for all the right parts for around 4 months. I was also thinking about going scale with it, after a couple of months. I have a white jeep wrangler 99 lifted with 33 inch tires and i was thinking about making it a 1-10 for my rc crawler. I was going to go with 1.9 tires and a hpi jeep Rubicon body. Let me know what you think!!

It will be a fine rig I'm sure - but if scale is the way you'd like to go, you should check the scale section out. The SCX-10 may better suit your goals. This way you get the scale feel for performance and a real frame. It comes with 1.9's, so no having to purchase more junk (budget minded). |

i would rather have the ax10 rather than the scale one because it get really good articulation and i don't want my scale crawler to be limited to what i can do. its not going to be a hundred percent scale just the body and tires. I still want to be able to go up anything and have the feel of a 2.2 comp crawler.

I Bought my axial used and i got 300 in the rig it has panther tires rooster speedo novak motor and strc 4 link parts so i would shop the net and buy a used rig for cheap build.
