Default Upgrade for the axial spur HUB ?

Axial transmission spur HUB, I cant believe how poorly this thing is made with cheap plastic.
Is there something stronger that is an upgrade other than making one ?

ive been using the factory adaptor for about 4 months now and have yet to have a problem (if it aint broke don't fix it.) you'll end up with more expensive problems, and its always better to have a cheap weak link!

I'm still running the original spur/assembly from when I bought my truck new 8 months ago...never had a problem. Even with a 5t puller and no slipper its holding up just fine. A metal spur would be a big no-no IMO. Plastic is a cheap weak link, much better than an expensive weak link.

Thanks slowguy, that looks pretty good, I have a aluminum hub that Icould use but just like that thread I would have to drill a hole for the pin and I am not to confident on it's durability.

YEa the stock plastic should work for a long time for those light 2.2's

I guess I should actually say it has held up very well in a 10 lb. Super

I agree with a weak link system. the slipper did not hold enough and I didn't spend any time fabricating a tougher one

Wow, left quite a bit of important info out at the beggining

You don't put a pick-up truck transmission in a semi and expect it to hold up. It's a 1/10th scale transmission.

Unless it's Toyota. R series trans behind the older Hino diesel trucks is very similar to the r150/151 in the Toyoto mini trucks. In fact gearsets interchange.

But yes, for the o.p., it's probably it bit on the weak side for a super.

I know , my bad, i was frustrated. when I took it off it look like only a small portion of the adapter was slotted and not the whole hole.
