Default 27t/55t motor

Has anyone tries 27t motor? Does it runs faster than 55t? Does it drains the battery? Do I need higher than 7.2v battery?

The 27t will run way faster than the 55t. It will drain your batery faster. If you have the 55t i would run that, it has more torque and your batery will last longer but if you want speed then run the 27t

if you're just going to do crawling with it, definatly go with the 55t. but if you want some speed at the sacrifice of torque and runtime go with the 27t. my crawlers i run a 55t and my scalers i run a 27t because i like the wheelspeed for muddin antics.

Yup, 27t run faster/low torque than 55t motor. i have run 55t and 20t stinger in 7.2v nimh (2000mAH), with 55t motor my battery last about 1 hour. and with 20t motor the battery only last less than 30 minutes.

Question

Thanx guys for the info. I definitely want to get 27t just to drive around the street and lawn. I like to use 55t for crawling rocks. I don't mind switching motors.

How about the small and large pinion gears? How about the Heavy Duty Bevel Gears with low speed and high speed? Will these make big differences in speed?
