| Run times on the RTR AX10 and a lip 2000`
I hope all are well. I wanted to check in with everyone and see if any of you have had any experience running a lipo 2000 battery with the RTR kit. I just added one tonight and it looks like a safe run time might be about 30 minutes.

Run times are widely variable. Best thing to do is drive it and find out! |

Noticed you are running a Lipo on an RTR. You didn't mention that you have an ESC that has a lipo cut off or have installed a Lipo cut off. Something you should definately look into to save your batteries.

I think this is why he wants to know run times so he doesent kill it. You should be safe with about 45min. | |

I don't see why you would want to chance it when the Novak cut offs are only $15.00. Cheap insurance for an expensive battery.

| ESC issues
Well the bottom line is the speed control I want is 85 bucks and the battery was 25. I have 25 but do not have the 85 yet. Sooooo. The idea here is that I would like to run the battery now while keeping an eye on things, and get the esc as I can afford it.

depends on your motor too, are you running the 27 turn motor that came with it? you'll get a lot longer runtime without it. Though thats not your point. You can get little gadgets on ebay, or dealextreme that plug into your balance port. I got one that constantly displays the voltage of each cell, and another that sounds a 90db alarm and a red led, when you need to stop driving. They were like 3$ each |

look at hobbycity for batteries and a cutoff on the stock esc would be good but if not just be careful when in a bind and dont go full throttle all day everyday our you will be saving pennies or cashing in cans to get the 85 for the new esc anyways...
