| Traxxas Stampede Tranny in an AX10
This thing is shoehorned in my ax10 chassis. It turns well but does anyone know if it been successfully done or did this seller just screw me(ebay)?

The pede tranny is plently strong, But wouldn't use it for a comp. I think you got screwed over when ax10 tranny got replaced. That sucks dude.

The seller might have been setting the truck up for a rock racer, the 'pede tranny would be good for that...

If you want to make a AX10 based truck go fast the Axail tranny is a poor choice, it is geared for torque, you have to have a low turn motor geared really high, which makes the motor and ESC work a lot harder for the speed you get (shorter run times). That Magnum 272 tranny is geared for higher speeds, so you can take a higher turn motor geared for speed and torque; it generates good speed with a lot longer run times because the motor and ESC are not working so hard to generate the speed.

Pede trannies are BULLETPROOF.... about the only thing i see not so great about them is if you are un-creative or not patient enough to do a little bit of tinkering, is that there are no available bolt-up dig units. in fact, i kiind of wish axial would of looked at a pede tranny when they designed the output shafts of their tranny, and used the pin design to hold the driveshafts on....
