can you shorten servo wires or will it mess them up

I shorten mine all the time and have been over 26 years, just make sure to splice cleanly or pick up a kit that replaces the ends, you crimp them on and slide them into a jst connector edit: this is the kit I wrote about: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTSH2&P=7 you can get for futaba, spektrum etc. Last edited by DickyT; 03-11-2010 at 03:02 PM. |

If you're okay with soldering electronics, you can remove the lead from the circuit board, shorten it, and re-solder it back to the board. Nice and neat. The length of the lead has no effect on servo operation. Cheers. |

Yeah I know the feeling! I have my RX, ESC and BEC in my SCX-10 box (with a little addition) and without shortening my wires it would have been impossible!
